Set up
Try a plugin
The Marketing plugin ships with /draft-content and other content-production skills as a starting point, already structured to write from a brief and hold a voice guide. If your admin manages plugins and it's not available yet, skip this; nothing below requires it.
Connect your tools
Claude Cowork is more powerful when it works directly with your systems. You control permissions and access. Learn about tool access(opens in new tab).
Navigate to Customize → Connectors in Cowork to set up.
Set your working folder
Drag the files you'll use (the campaign brief, the brand guidelines, two or three best-performing past pieces) into one folder on your machine, then point Cowork at it. Cowork reads from it and writes every asset back to it as separate files. If you'll produce content across multiple campaigns, create a Cowork project(opens in new tab) from the parent Content folder so the brand guide and voice rules stay attached.
The prompt
Copy this into Claude Cowork
Draft the content set for this campaign: a blog post, landing page copy, a three-email sequence, and ad copy in three lengths. Hold our voice and the approved messaging exactly, and note anywhere the brief was thin so I know what to fill.
Why this works
Ask for every piece in one prompt. Listing every asset in one prompt means each piece pulls from the same brief and the message stays consistent.
Tell it the guidelines are non-negotiable. "Hold our voice and the approved messaging exactly" treats the brand guide as a constraint, not inspiration, so review is about fit, not rewriting tone.
Ask it to flag what's missing. "Note anywhere the brief was thin" turns missing inputs into an explicit list instead of invented copy you'd have to hunt down later.
Put your references in the working folder. The brief, guidelines, and best-performing examples sit in the working folder, so every asset is written against your real references and saved back next to them.
Get a better draft
Add an example to match. Drop an example you like into the folder and Cowork matches your structure and voice.
Ask for options. Add "draft three versions with different angles" and pick the one that works best.
Make Cowork work for you
A plugin skill is a starting point — customize it with your own practices and expertise. A few minutes of conversation and it runs with your standards from then on.
Make what we've done in this task so far into a skill, or edit the /draft-content skill with my feedback.
Make it repeatable
Run it on every approved brief
The customized skill runs every weekday at 9am, checking the Content folder for new briefs and drafting the full content set for each. Type /schedule in the prompt, or open Scheduled in the Cowork sidebar, to set it up.
/schedule Every weekday at 9am, checks Content for new briefs and runs /draft-content on each, writing the full content set to a campaign subfolder.

Share with your teammates
Your customized /draft-content now carries your voice rules, your CTA library, and your standard asset list. Share it so every writer and campaign owner produces from the same brand baseline, and review becomes about the idea, not the tone.
